How to earn MONEY online with internet marketing? Advice for the newbie!

Hi, my name is Eugene and I am going to tell you some essential points you need to know before you decide to make internet marketing your full time job, and work from home. If you are experienced marketer who is making a decent income out of working online probably this hub is not for you, however if you spend all your day on the internet trying to discover this new world and is not sure that it actually exists you will find some good information in this hub.
Marketing is part of every living system, and people do need to market things whether they are aware of it or not. For ex. Online business and internet marketing depend on exposure and traffic, the more content that is fueled with targeted traffic you have the more you can convert or earn commissions from. Increasing your traffic depends highly on how savvy you are and how much understanding you have of the web and its tools. All types of traffic come from websites; some are big ones like Google, Yahoo, Youtube, Facebook. Along with other smaller ones that can provide you with traffic as well. Every website of those (the sources) have some techniques you need to master in order to get targeted traffic from it. For Search engines like Google and yahoo you will need to do SEO, for youtube you will need to post a video on a popular subject, on yahoo answers and forums you need to help people by answering their questions with you link to your website at the bottom of your answer.

The most important point at this stage is to know what you are doing and to use logic before applying any of the above. For ex. Traffic from youtube is mostly people who look for Songs, How to(s), celebrities … etc. It’s hard to use such traffic with a website that promotes Insurance, Real Estate, or Credit Cards, If you want to promote those kind of stuff your best source of traffic will be probably Yahoo Answers, Forums, and Search Engines.
In the beginning you will find it hard to research all traffic sources correctly but you will improve as you proceed.

Your websites and content are your online presence and the better the design and content the more they can convert and generate money. Working on your website must be preceded by doing the following researches:

• Niche research (what type of site it will be? Is it hot on the web?)
• Related Affiliate programs or market research (these are the programs that you need to join to make money from your site)
• Competition research (how much content are already posted on this topic? Will you be able to outrank your competitors?)
• Search Engine Optimization research (know your keywords, know your website hierarchy, simply know what the search engines are looking for)
• Graphical Design (ugly sites are less likely to convert well)

Although these points are simple they contain a lot of details and as newbie you can easily make mistakes in the beginning, you need to study and research yourself and you will find that there are many rumors and incorrect information posted in forums, articles and everywhere. The golden rule is to try and test everything yourself, don’t ever take what people say for granted in this business. You can learn a lot more by watching what people do rather that what they say when it comes to internet marketing.

If you came to internet marketing through one of the scams that claims you can make money overnight without much work and effort then I am sorry to disappoint you. It will take you at least one year with hard work to actually make any money online.
There is no magic wand and things appear simple but they are loaded with details and work, however it’s still well worth the time and effort as it’s your own business that generate you money while you sleep.
There is many times that you will feel like chasing a ghost and that nothing actually works, times when you will feel disappointed and lost. It’s ok to feel this way however don’t give up. I like this quote from Ross Perot:

There are always some reasons why you are not making money, getting traffic, ranking higher, and in this industry one little detail can decide whether you will succeed or fail. So if you go through hard time you need to be patient and never give up.
